Getting Your NUS Card

NUS and other Student Cards

Sign up to one of these cards in the SU Offices from September 1 2011
 
The NUS Democracy Card is free, proves you are a student and does not have any discounts attached to it. All you need to show is your library card.
 
The NUS Extra cardis a discount card and costs £11. NUS have managed to secure many discounts from Amazon, Ticketmaster and more offering a variety of discounts.

For an extra £1.99, students can upgrade their card to an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and have two cards in one (applies to online applications only).
You will need to upload a photo of yourself. This photo will be checked and confirmed along with your library card when you pick your card up from the su offices a week later.
 
Tip: This combined NUS Extra and ISIC card is the only card that allows holders to apply for the Young Persons Railcard which gives 1/3 off all national rail travel (apply at train stations)

ULU (University of London) Membership
 
Once you have signed up for an NUS card, take it to ULU on Malet Street to sign up for a ULU card which offers further benefits and access to their gym and swimming pool with a student rate membership.
Well worth signing up for even if you don`t use the gym!!!
