Representatives at the Student Council (SC) Meeting

Each course at the IOE nominates a student representative to attend the twice termly (minimum) meetings held in the Students Union.

Please see your tutor or course administrator if you would like to be the SC Rep for your course or email Shana s.tufail@ioe.ac.uk

The Union SC shall consist of the following members:

The President, the Vice-President (Finance & Services) and the Vice-President (Education & External Affairs) who are the charitable trustees as defined by law 
 

  • A representative from John Adams Hall Residents Association
  • A member with special responsibility for Equal Opportunities
  • A member with special responsibility for Black and Ethnic Minority Students
  • A member with special responsibility for Students with Disabilities
  • A member with special responsibility for Communications
  • A member with special responsibility for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Students
  • A representative from each of the Union societies
  • The Research Student Society Chair
  • The PGCE Post Compulsory Course Representative*
  • The PGCE Secondary Course Representative*
  • The PGCE Primary Course Representative*
  • The MA Course Representative*
  • The representative for other courses (BEd, Foundation Degree etc.)*
    *If more than one student is elected to be a representative on any course, each representative will be eligible to serve on the SRC.
